Gameplay Guide

Main Gameplay The core loop revolves around "Nighttime Stealing — Daytime Selling," with both phases alternating and directly influencing each other.

Nighttime: Dungeon Stealth (Search, Steal, Extract) Upon entering the dungeon, your goal is to use stealth to steal weapons, potions, scrolls, and other items from enemies' backpacks, then safely extract without losing too much health. The protagonist's direct combat power is zero, so the core gameplay relies on three main methods:

Concealment

Crouch walk to avoid making noise. Tall grass can hide you, and doors can block enemy lines of sight. If spotted, immediately hide in the grass until their alert status clears, or create distance to escape pursuit.

Traps

Dungeon traps like pressure plates and arrow mechanisms can be triggered repeatedly. Luring enemies onto traps is your primary method for killing them. Once you obtain the "Speed Charge" skill, you can knock enemies into traps, significantly improving your efficiency.

Coinbeetles

Used as a lure in the early game. After unlocking skills, they can transform into sleep traps, grass traps, or even a dummy double to deceive enemies.

Map Exploration

Utilize Save/Load

The game autosaves at the beginning of each day and night. If a day's sales or a night's raid goes poorly, you can use the "Load" option in the ESC menu to restart from the beginning of the day.

Read the Daily News

The newspaper occasionally highlights market shortages for specific item types. The next day, customer demand for those items will spike. Prioritize stealing these items the night before to maximize daily revenue.

Prioritize Upgrading Luck

The Luck stat influences the tier and rarity of stolen items. Lucky bone shards, lucky potions, and successfully stealing from enemy backpacks all increase your Luck. High Luck significantly boosts the profitability of a single dungeon run.

Unlock Double Jump & Grappling Hook Early

These two skills are the core of your mobility. Unlocking them grants access to previously unreachable areas and drastically increases your success rate when dodging enemies or using traps. They should be your highest priority purchases in the early game.

Use Mimics for Gear Upgrades

There is a chest monster (Mimic) near the statues on the map. You can sacrifice 10 max HP to upgrade an eligible item in your backpack by 1 level. This is a great way to fulfill specific gear-level requests from order merchants or NPCs without relying on random drops.

Selling Strategy (Volume First, Multipliers Later)

In the early game, your Focus points are extremely limited. It is recommended to secure 1.4x deals to quickly accumulate shop experience and level up, rather than risking 3x deals on pure luck. As your shop levels up, your Focus cap and available haggling skills will increase, allowing you to safely push for higher multipliers. Focus your high-multiplier haggling on customers with lower persuasion difficulties.

Hire Employees to Reduce Grinding

Once high-level employees are stationed, assign them to farm common, repetitive items. This allows you to focus your own time efficiently on exploring deep dungeon areas for high-value loot and progressing main NPC storylines.

Rescue Your Employees

Stranded employees will display an SOS marker on the local map. You can rescue them by bringing them a healing potion.

Steal Enemy Weapons First: If you successfully steal an enemy's weapon from their backpack first, any damage they deal to you upon discovering you will be reduced to 1 point.
